London Finds

I was lucky enough to spend a few days in London and took advantage of the not too freezing days by wandering the city, admiring the lights and doing a ton of window shopping and Christmas gift finding. London may just be the very best shopping city I’ve ever been to! Here are a few of the best shops I discovered:

Wolf & Badger is an independent boutique that rents cubbies and racks to independent designers. Loved the for him-or-her zip up scarf.

While wondering around Notting Hill I fell for all the amazing knick knacks and gifts at Pedlars.

Liberty of London is the old-school department store where those pretty floral prints hail from. You can find everything from designer scarves to the perfect Liberty print shopper.

The organic offerings at Daylesford Organic (above) were fresh, tasty and beautifully packaged. They offer cooking courses and holiday hampers too.

For music, check out Rough Trade. They gave Canadian-born artist Caribou top billing for 2010.

This store smelled so unbelievably good it was hard to leave. You can find everything chocolate from truffles to liquid drink at Melt.

Exactly what you’d want a bookstore to look like, Daunt Books, carries a great selection of fiction, biography, history, travel, children’s books, cards, calendars, maps and more.

Dover St Market is a must visit for fashionphiles. You’ll find high fashion from the big name designers and there is a whole floor dedicated to Comme Des Garçons Play

Museum shops are among my very favourite places to find gifts and the Tate Modern and Victoria & Albert shops don’t disappoint.

Daylesford Organic Christmas Hamper, £125.
