For the 80′s movie lover, the teen-angst appreciator or the documentary fan I recommend giving my friend Matt Austin’s film, Don’t You Forget About Me: The Impact and Absence of John Hughes, which comes out today. The documentary film documents Austin’s (and 3 other filmmaker’s) search for influential director (who disappeared from Hollywood in 1991) and includes interviews with the cast of some of Hughes’ most-loved movies such as Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club. It was made long before, but the film is especially poignant now that Hughes has passed away.
